Last week in science class, we made magnetic cars.Firstly, we brought in matchboxes and we put a magnet in the boxes. We had to design the boxes to look like cars.Next, we cut wheels out of card. Then we put a toothpick through the wheels. After that we slid the toothpick through a short straw. Then,we attached the other wheel to the toothpick and stuck it to the bottom of the car/matchbox.We repeated this to make the other wheel. Finally, we took another magnet and used it to drag the car along the table. Evan and I made a car shaped like a red tank with a smiley face.We really enjoyed this lesson.
